Hi Ed,

two questions re Torreira, not entirely expecting you to know the answer to 2 but going to try my luck

1) Is the interest in Torriera from Lazio real?

2) Did something go on behind the scenes that resulted in Torriera being dropped by Arteta? I find it so boggling as in his first season under Emery he was fantastic as a DM, I find it hard to believe that he was dropped because he wasn't deemed good enough? He was clearly our best DM at the time and think he offers so much more in a double pivot compared to Xhaka.

{Ed002's Note - (1) Lucas Torreira (DM) will be made available in the summer if a deal cannot be struck in advance with Fiorentina as Arsenal are pricing him out of the market and Lazio have the same opinion, the player may get his wish to move to Boco on loan as they only offer an option to buy at a low price. (2) Not that I am aware but remember Arsenal have had a number of players in the same position such as Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and added Partey.}

Interesting with torreira what happened to him at arsenal. I always got the impression he struggled to settle in England. And as good as he was with emery don't forget he suddenly started playing him as a number 10 which seemed to kill his confidence. I'd imagine if he was already unsettled that didn't help.

Do we have any interest in Joaquin Corea from Lazio?

{Ed002's Note - Joaquin Correa (F/AM) West Ham had JC on a lengthy list of targets after his agent hawked him around the London clubs but were put off by the €40M asking price. Lazio want to upgrade and by Brandt and are willing to sell. Spurs has an interest but would want a loan to buy as they regroup under Paratici. I am not aware of any interest from Arsenal at this time.
