Good Morning Eds,
Marca are reporting that Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Thomas Lemar. They state that Atlético are prepared to let him leave if the right deal can be found? Do you know if Arsenal are looking to add him during this window or in the summer?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Lemar (AM/LW) agent has said it is important he moves on an Atletico want him off the books. The want to recover their €60M investment but that is not going to happen but Atletico would consider a loan to buy. Arsenal have a third party working for them to facilitate a deal, but are aware that Spurs have spoken directly with Atletico - perhaps after advice from the third-party Arsenal are paying.}

this to me confirms Auba's desire to leave wether in Jan or Summer.

Thanks Ed, appreciate that. Saka and Martinelli look good enough to play on the LW anyway so would he really be needed?
Sky sports are now reporting that Arsenal are interested in Jerome Boateng and Munich will let him leave for around £12.8m. Are Arsenal actually considering a permanent deal for him? I suppose it targets the more pressing issues that need resolving but that seems more like a panic buy to me.
Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach to Bayern Munich but if Arteta wants Boateng I would be seriously concerned that the younger players will turn and want out.}

Ed why would arsenal ask a third party to do a deal but then the third party tell another team (Tottenham) about this? Doesn’t that just go against what arsenal are paying them for?

{Ed002's Note - They are looking very amateurish at doing business.}

My thoughts exactly Ed. Why not save ourselves the £13m and promote the likes of Medley to CB. He can also play at full back as well. It may be risky but no riskier than signing an injury prone 31 year old who lacks pace.

Sorry Ed is that arsenal or the third party which you think is amateurish?

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal - the entire senior management set up is a joke - as I have explained over and over.}

Why would the youngsters turn round and want out? Holding is coming back from a big injury and Chambers is out for 6 to 9 months. What other young players would want to leave or am I missing something?

{Ed002's Note - Adding 30 plus year old players on huge wages is a kick in the gonads for youngsters at the club.}

Not sure if any truth in it but in saw in gossip round up that Abu is reconsidering his options since Artetta impact and my be willing to talk about a new contract again.
Not even sure who the source of the story was, probably nonsense but just thought I'd throw it in the mix.

Gunner62 I can only see Abu sticking around if aladdin is okay with it.

Is aladdin Arteta 16 mate? I assume so :-) .
Absolutely if Auba wants to stay then of course like everyone else it will need to be with Artetta wanting it too.

I agree with Ed that the senior management at the club is poor. However, I am hopeful that Arteta can impose his demands upon them.
I believe there is a delicate balance between playing experienced players and promising youngsters. This was clearly shown v Man U when we started with an experienced line up. The young players are excellent, but perhaps we should only start with a couple of them at a time.

Hi Ed,

Regarding this comment, “ I would be seriously concerned that the younger players will turn and want out, ” which youth defender is ready? Mavrapanos?

Hi Wd,

Regarding your previous comment, “ I would be seriously concerned that the younger players will turn and want out, ” which young defender is ready for first team minutes? Mavrapanos? Or are you referring to Holding?

Thanks!

I would like to see what Mikel can get out of Holding and Mov between now and May before making a decision on them either way, I'm personally not convinced by either but I'd like to be proven wrong by both players and Mikel.
